ABOUT UN/CEFACT
The 13th UN/CEFACT Forum will take place in Saly, SENEGAL from 10th to 14th November 2008.
The United Nations, through its Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic business (UN/CEFACT), supports activities dedicated to improving the ability of business and administrative organizations from developed, developing and transitional economies, to exchange products and relevant services effectively. It mainly seeks to facilitate national and international transactions, through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and information flows, and to contribute to the growth of global commerce. It encourages close collaboration between governments and private businesses to secure interoperability for the exchange of information between the public and private sector.

13th UN/CEFACT FORUM IN SALY
The forum is an opportunity for UN/CEFACT working groups to meet in the same place to work on various projects, exchange ideas and be updated on all the accomplished works.
Only UN/CEFACT members nominated by their head of delegation can subscribe and attend the 13th UN/CEFACT Forum.

INTERNATIONAL SINGLE WINDOW CONFERENCE

Ahead of the UN/CEFACT Forum, Dakar will host the first edition of the International Conference on Single Windows grouping delegates from Africa and beyond. This conference will provide a platform for experts to discuss the Single Window concept and opportunities with the business community, with the view to the establishment of a Pan-African Alliance for E-Commerce.
